When I was a youngster growing up on the small family farm near Holgate, Ohio, the white barn in the above picture was standing and operational in my Dad’s dairy and grain farming days.
At the left, where the barn’s roof slants lower to the ground than the rest of the building, one may see a window (far left) and the faint outline of a door near to the right. The door led into the cubic area where Dad milked his dairy cows. The milkers provided our family of five at the time with all the milk we needed. Dad sold the excess amounts.
